About
Dear Fifth Grade Families,
Hello! We are excited to welcome the new fifth graders this fall! Below, you can get to know a little about your fifth grade teachers.
Hello, my name is Mrs. Therriault and I will be teaching math and science. This is my first year teaching my own class, but I have worked in the district as an ed tech for some time. When I am not teaching, I love to create art, go outside, garden, be with my farm animals, listen to and play music, and spend time with my family. I love getting to know my students and finding out what they are interested in. I try to bring creativity into the classroom whenever I can. I am super excited to meet you all!
Hello, my name is Ms. Shadrick and this is my 22nd year in education. I am so excited to be here at Sacopee Valley Middle School! When I am not teaching, I love to hike, read, and spend time with my grandchildren. I look forward to meeting my students and getting to know them. This year will be a great adventure!!
Hey there, my name is Ms. Rowell. I have taught reading, writing, and social studies for six years. I can’t wait to start getting to know all of the new fifth graders. When I am not teaching in the classroom, I love to travel and explore new places. Some of my favorite places I’ve visited include the Lost River Gorge and the Basin in Franconia Notch. I have also enjoyed spending time in Seville, Spain and Milan, Italy. Besides traveling, I love four wheeling and being out on the water boating and fishing. See you soon!
Hi there! I’m Ms. Marshall and I will be taking you on a math, science, and writing adventure this year! You heard right, ADVENTURE! And on this adventure you will discover your inner math growth mindset and see that math is everywhere. You will learn to ask questions and explore our world through the lens of a scientist and you will learn how to tell your story in writing. This is my 7th year teaching 5th grade and my first year at SVMS! When I’m not teaching 5th grade, I’m being bossed around by my two bratty standard poodles, Spruce and Aspen. I teach yoga and love to ski, waterski, hike, bike, cook, garden, and travel. I just returned from Greece which is my family heritage. Look for lots of Greek things in my classroom as they were great thinkers behind much that we will discover in 5th grade.
